recent postcard to Cleopatra ~

My friend in Maine ~ who I visited in September ~
She has a sticker in her enclosed patio kitchen ~
I can see her sitting across the table from me
with a happy smile on her face
and spontaneous laughter
about where she has been
and where she is now.
Behind her is the sticker
Which says;
‘She Who Laughs, Lasts’
Somehow ~ there was ‘no way’
that this did not remind me of
‘you’
